Leadership change at SSZ Camouflage Technology AG

As of 1 June 2026, we are pleased to welcome Andreas Cantoni as the new CEO and co-owner of SSZ Camouflage Technology AG. With this step, we are setting the course for the next phase of profitable growth and the strategic advancement of our position as the Swiss technology and competence leader in the field of multispectral camouflage systems – both nationally and internationally.

He succeeds the owner Marco Hofer, who has held the dual role of CEO and Delegate of the Board of Directors since May 2023. Marco Hofer will remain with SSZ Camouflage Technology AG as Delegate of the Board of Directors and will continue to actively support the strategic development of the company in the future.

Andreas Cantoni brings more than 25 years of experience in the defence, security and technology environment, as well as within the public sector and in cooperation with security-relevant institutions in Switzerland and international partner organisations. In recent years, he successfully held leading positions within the Swiss security and defence industry, managed complex programs with governmental clients, and possesses both an established network and in-depth market expertise within the international defence environment. He understands the requirements of armed forces, authorities and international partners first-hand.

With his combination of technological expertise, many years of customer and program management responsibility, as well as his deep connection to the Swiss market and his international network, Andreas Cantoni brings exactly the profile that SSZ Camouflage Technology AG requires for the upcoming scaling phase. Today, our company is an established provider of multispectral camouflage solutions that protect soldiers, vehicles and infrastructure against modern reconnaissance technologies – ranging from optical sensors to infrared and radar systems. The increasing importance of drones, sensor fusion and networked battlefields requires a leadership personality who understands both operational execution and strategic integration into national and international procurement programs.

Against this background, the Board of Directors unanimously appointed Andreas Cantoni to his new role. His proven ability to lead companies in regulated and security-critical markets, to build partner and supplier ecosystems, and to guide innovation projects from development through to operational deployment is ideally suited to the next stage of development of SSZ Camouflage Technology AG. In addition, his role as co-owner strengthens the company’s long-term entrepreneurial orientation, international positioning and its strong roots in Switzerland.

The clear objective remains to strengthen SSZ Camouflage Technology AG as the preferred partner for modern camouflage systems for the Swiss Armed Forces as well as selected international customers and programs.
